As I get older, I prefer my hair to be kept shorter and neater ...... all the people that cut my hair, be them men or women, all see to be of the opinion that cut hair loses its shape after two weeks. Is this correct and therefore would short hair benefit from a two weekly trim to retain its smartness? Also, some barbers state scissor cut looks better, others say a number six shave is better. Any opinions here please? Love to hear from people that cut hair .....

I've been told by a barber/beautician that the only difference between a good cut and a bad cut is 2 weeks. take that as you will. i've found that the choice of tool is very subjective to what that person is used to, and therefore more comfortable with.

The Pony tale is dead - thank God!

I can't understand the barbers here in the UK charging 10 pounds for a thing that takes only three minutes to do - so I've been cutting my own hair for years. I run my own clippers over my hair once a month generally, but in Spring and Summer (when the hair grows faster) I cut every two-three weeks. I cut with a number 3 blade - but you can choose whatever makes length of hair makes you comfortable.

The ladies like short-hair! No, Really - it's a tactile thing =)

STAY AWAY FROM THE SHAVE. I got a level 1 shave and now I look really bad. Besides, now I have to wait a very long time for all my hair to grow back again.

Try growing your hair long, not too long. Maybe at the shoulders or above, so you won't have to worry about keeping your short hair in shape.
