I found Wayne's comments interesting but I'm not sure he answered your question!

I think it is just more likely that she was around other kids for a week and discovered that she could exist w/o her mom by her side so has taken a small step away from you. I don't mean that in a bad way - kids take these gradual steps away till they are ready to leave home. Just see how she is in a week or two.

Well I hate to say this but you just sent her down a very difficult road at the wrong age. You noticed that she can't seem to get the CD music she got from camp out of her ears. Music is one of the best formal methods of brainwashing there is. The beat is infectious and the words are alluring. But at ten years old they become overwelming. There is no break from the songs they are imbeded and they will affect her ability to choose freely when she matures what religion and beliefs she would like to persue.
The same was done to me and it took me years to undue the harm that the music did to me.

Learning about God at a young age is ok. Learning actual Bible verses is ok. Learning the principles presented in the Bible is ok. Being give false teachings from secular songs at a young age is extremely harmful. At her age she does not have a reference nor the ability to choose rationaly what she is being taught.

I would suggest you loose the CD and teach her Bible stories directly from the Bible. Not songs that are on the surface inspirational but have no basis in the teachings of the Bible.

Puberty-- I doubt it. That she has matured on a spiritual level, I very seriously doubt it. Most definately good brain washing.

You need to sit down with her and talk, serious talk, about what happened at camp and detailed information as to what was taught to her at camp.

The Bible makes it very clear it is the responsibility of the PARENT to over see and teach about spiritual manners. Better step up to the plate before she is misled so badly that she will have trouble as an adult what the real truth of the Bible is.
