A lot of times on R&S, we talk about the differences in our beliefs. Let's talk about the similiarities between the different religions or denominations. Most people fear what they don't know. Let's all get behind that. So, what Faith are you and what do you think is at least one thing you have in common with every other Faith, even Atheists and Agnostics, (who certainly have the right to believe the way they wish)?. Thanks, and have a super day!

WOW! some awesome answers so far. Thanks for the input. Just for the record, IMy similiarity is that everyone, regardless of religion, faith, or denomination, has a belief in some powerful source, whether it be Spiritual, worldly or other. You guys are all awesome!!

A lot of people seem to think that atheists have no spirituality, and that simply by not believing in a god or gods, that we believe in nothing of a supernatural or spiritual realm.

That holds true for many of us, but certainly not all.

I'm one of several atheists in this forum who believe we possess souls. I don't know what they are or where they come from, but I think they are what gives us our humanity.

I also believe in an afterlife and angels, just not of the Biblical sort. I believe that I'll see my lost loved ones again, and that we all get to go on.

*You've asked a lovely question. I wish more people had responded.

I'm pagan. The similiarities of my faith can be found pretty much all over the world that is not touched by christianity, catholicism, islam or buddhism. I'm talking about the natives such as native americans and natives of different 3rd world countries. In my religion, rather than have "1 God" to worship or a "church" to go in, we worship the heavens and earth as well as multiple dieties. We are also able to chose which dieties to worship to. I worship egyptian gods though I am not egyptiian. We are able to seek help by using our own energies for guidance and prayers just as christians do with their prayers. Sadly due to so many misconceptions of Paganism due to the media, history and books, people only know us by "wrong" medium rather than what we "really" are.

1) Apostolic- Pentecostal- Christian
2) The thing I have in common with EVERY OTHER? If I have anything in common- it has nothing do do with religion. Probably humanity or preference or personality.

No most people don't fear what they don't know. What people fear is their ridiculous fantasy. So comparing fantasies just tends to make people more paranoid fearing their Boogie Man Satan will jump out and bite their butt if they dare to consider an alternate fantasy.
