do you mean the dramas that you can see on television nowadays?? they are called DORAMA. at the end of the series you might see where they write that the drama was all fiction and then you will see this: ドラマ which is katakana for DORAMA. hope this answers the question. of course there are other names for traditional japanese dramas.

Traditionally "Gagaku" was for the Imperial court, "Noh" was the preferred theatre form for the Samurai, "Kabuki" for the middle classes, and "Bunraku" puppet theatre for the rest.
