The word insult can't be described by the adjective 'best' . As far as I am concerned I have always avoided myself from insulting anybody even if I encounter any of the fault of my nears and dears, since I believe that insult is not at all the solution to make someone realize of his mistake but a gentle and humble behavior can indeed make a difference.

the best insult is always the worst idea. you can never no how much harm can be afflicted on someone with bad insults. what if you didn't know someone was suicidial and were teetering on the brink of destruction, you make a bad comment and they do the deed. the best insult is simply none at all and if someone insults you just shake your head and walk off. A lot of times you can make someone look foolish and immature by simply doing that. perhaps they will see how foolish they are and grow up.

There is this neighbour who kept on making nasty jokey comments about how I cycled everywhere and wasn't it time I got a car. At first I laughed it off but she continued to say something every time I saw her and it got to the stage where I found it was plain rude and none of her business. After one of her comments I said,"Do you nag your husband as much as you nag me?!".She stood there stunned and didn't know what to say to me next. From that day on she hasn't made one nasty comment to me and I can cycle in peace!!

My father has said this since I was a kid...if a person says kiss my a-s-s he said "move your nose & promise not to bite." LOL! I never understood the meaning till I was a teenager.

This girl I used to work with, we hated each other. She once told me she had an IQ of 180. I thought, I don't think so.

Then a week or so later, she said "I told you what MY IQ is." I said, "Yeah, 80, right?"

This lady at the gym was trying hard to hold onto her quickly escaping youth, and she wasn't very good at doing so.

She commented to me that it was cold in the gym. I said "It feels perfect to me, maybe it's your age."
