You haven't given much information so this answer will necessarily be vague.

If a company gives away some product or gift to you as a consumer this is considered to be in the nature of advertising. There would be no tax consequences for you.

If you receive a free gift "by virtue of your employment" then, generally, it would be considered a benefit in kind and taxed as though it formed part of your salary. This is true even if it is not your employer making the gift. The crucial bit is that you receive it because of your job and would not have had it if you were not in that particular job.

If the freebies are in fact bribes then, of course, they are illegal.
