safe in the knowledge that if you ask for forgiveness it will be granted?

Baptists can, that's because they have the doctrine of Spontaneous Salvation.

Jesus is more interested in hearing praise than whether you sin or not.

Baptists have a special arrangement with Jesus whereby they praise him loudly and with great emotion, and are allowed to sin.

Contact your local Baptist Church for details, and have your credit card ready.

Well, God made the ultimate sacrifice by sending His son to die on the cross, so that we all may be saved. However, that does NOT give us the right to intentionally sin knowing that we have salvation. Christ calls us to live a life that's pleasing to Him, but He knows we are going to make mistakes along the way. And because of that He has grace and mercy for those who ask Him sincerely for forgiveness.

No. " What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein" ( Roman 6:1)? When we come to Salvation, we are sanctified. Which means " set apart for God." True believer's are dead to sin and its control. Although we constantly have this inner struggle, we don't have to sin. If we do, its because we choose to and it shows that one does not yet understand the seriousness of sin. Jesus says that Christians have died to sin's hold, and we need to reckon with this fact.

A Christian does not "wish" to commit a sin. If you meet one that does not feel regret about their sins, I would question thier authenticity. We are all sinners saved by grace and we all fall into sin, but the true Christian will feel convicted about their sin and not try to justify it.

That is not the way to think about it. We should not take God's grace for granted. We do not wish to sin and to think that we are safe. The situation is that we all need Jesus for our salvation.

God forgives our sins and He also knows our hearts if we really mean it.

yes we can sin and yes we can be forgiven. However, true Christians are able to turn away from a lot of sins knowing that it will displease God. The flesh is weak so it is hard for us sometimes. As a Christian, just like I have to take a bath everyday to remove the dirt and filth from the outside of my body, so must I pray for forgiveness everyday for the sins I have committed. Being a Christian doesn't mean you are perfect, it just means you are forgiven. Have a wonderful day, and thanks for the question. :)

No. We ask to be forgiven for what we do not aim to do. If we just sin as usual and intend to sin than we aren't forgiven. But we sin in thought and should try not to always. If we break God's law and do not attempt to change and live without sin than we are guilty.

you're entirely missing the point of following Christ...it's not about getting a 'get out of hell free' card, it's about following Christ's example and obeying His commandments...loving God with all you have, and loving your neighbor as yourself...we are to follow Christ's example and teachings and become more like Him...it's (to steal from areosmith) a journey, not a destination...unfortunately, too many Christians think they've already arrived...

Do not tempt God to judge you

By deliberating sinning against God you are provoking Him to judge you. You are trying to see the limits of His grace. It's a foolish thing to do because you will fall from grace if you aren't careful and there is no turning back.

In the words of Apostle Paul GOD FORBID that you should turn the grace of God into an excuse to live in sin. GOD FORBID that you continue to sin that grace will abound and be more plentiful

In the words of Apostle John children I write to you that you sin no more for if you are born of God you cannot sin, but if you happen to slide into sin you have access to God for your forgiveness

I realize that for a carnal mind it appears that now you can sin but if you are born of God you can only be truly born of God if you hate sin and love God. That's why there are many people that are deceived even in the professing Church that they are Christians and they were never born again.
