what do you mean, come over and stay? for a week, or the rest of her life? you don't say if you 2 have talked about this before, how long you 2 have been chatting, what plans you have made, and so on...

like a lot of other people on here i am very concerned about this, but without knowing any more details i can't say what would be the best course of action.

if you need someone to chat to about this, you can email or IM me from my profile. i would be more than happy to give what advice i can, speaking as someone in a similar situation to yours.

what ever you do, think about it very carefully, a decision like this will affect the rest of your life.

Its hard to trust what someon says over the internet. I wouldnt have a stranger, which is what she is no matter how many times you've talked, come over my home and know where I live.

I think if you really want to meet her say that you'd rather go away for the weekend with her, like a bed and breakfast. This way you both take care of your own expenses and you meet in a public location where both of you can feel at ease. This way you can be sure if she really wants to meet you or if she's trying to get your money.

Sounds like a con to me. First of all £450 can get you a return flight to Austraila if you shop around.

Secondly why do you need to send her the money? Offer to play out to see her first or meet in a neutral place, if she's genuiene she will agree, if not she will run for the hills.

I wouldn't do it. You can pick some mutually interesting place and meet in the middle, providing for your own travel and accommodations. Or if you are so bent on meeting her, go and see her--and again, provide for your own accommodations. Things are always different in person. Now, if she cuts you off because you don't send her any money, then you know she was scamming you. If it's really about meeting you, she won't have a problem with an alternative suggestion.

You want to send a complete stranger 200 pounds? Get a grip. You must have too much cash to spare if you are even contemplating this. Give some of your riches to charity.

Don't part with any money If she really wants to see you she can save up. Is she also expecting you to give her spending money when she arrives? msn, match.com etc is full of people from Africa looking for money. Just be carefull.
Have you rang her at her home address and does the area code correspond with the country she lives in.

NO! How can you even ask something like this.
You should not believe her.
She never saw you before and she wanted to stay at your place. She even asked you for money.
She's not a proud and serious person. She is maybe nice, but obviously she has some serious problems with her life and a big freedom, since she wants to stay at your place.
Be very very cautious.

No. If she was genuine about wanting to meet you she would find a way to get the money together herself. She has probably ripped of other guys online too
