Use it ... cats especially like the Strawberry fragrance. After that, use Dove's Intense Moisturizing conditioner. Blow dry the fur and use lots of Bed Head extra stiff styling gel ... spike up the sucker! It'll scare all the dogs in the neighborhood!

If i was you i wouldn't use the shower gel on your cat, if you really want to wash it then you can by special cat shampoo that is good for their skin, if you use normal showergel then it can irratate their skin and can make it come up in rashes and makes it very painful.

Liquid castile soap is the best- it leaves no residue to collect lint etc. and it rinses well and is a basic soap without additive. There are ones that have eucalyptus, peppermint or almond added to them- see which one your kitty likes best.
Once you get the cat clean and its fur conditioned you are best to get it on a good diet (a lot of raw food if you want to work that hard) and regular grooming, it won't be necessary to bathe as often. My first kitty loved to walk along the tub and "accidentally" fall into the water with me- he loved Vita-bath- the spring fresh scent! All the rest of my cats run and hide even when I turn on the water to wash my own hands.

NOOOOOOOOOOO! Don't use showergel on a cat! Cat's are very clean animals, and generally manage to take good care of themselves in the cleaning department. If however you do need to clean them, use warm water and cotton wool, but don't drench them, cats hate water. If they have something more stubborn in their fur, I would suggest taking them to the vet who can prescribe a suitable cleaning solution and directions as to how to use it.

Cats clean themselves. They do not need a bath unless they got into something. If that is the case, use cat shampoo only.

Not a good plan! We always used Ivory Dish soap a the Vet Hospital to bath all the animals with. It isn't harsh to the skin, and it leaves the coat soft.

i have one cat that loves its bath, i use a shampoo that is designed for small animals and it has a insect repellant in it. i have also used baby shampoo in the past with no problems.
i found they hate the hair dryer and dont mind beng hugged in warm towels and towel dried and they are fine if the room they are in is warm untill they are dry, but dont shampoo to often as it strips the coat of natural oils

You really need to use something specifically for cats because it helps their coat and their skin. However, if you are out and your feline needs a bath real bad then using a mild human shampoo or liquid soap should be fine, but try using something really gentle like baby shampoo or something.

Cats clean themselves so there should be no need to bath it. Cats hate water anyway. But if you really do need/want to bath your cat then get some proper shampoo.

When the cat licks itself after a bath it will swallow the shower gel residue and get ill.
