Usually I weigh 138 but last night i had 3 beers, a hamburger and chips. When i got on the scale this morning i weighed 142.5.

#1) Is it possible to gain 4.5 pounds in ONE NIGHT??!?!
#2) How can I get back down to 138?

Many things could affect the drastic difference.

Weight typically fluctuates by a few pounds throughout the day, and it doesn't mean you've gained weight, just that you've drunk more during the day and, thus, are holding more inside you. This doesn't mean that you've gained fat.

You're retaining fluid from the beer and the chips. Just drink a bunch of water today, lay off the salt, and you should be back down by morning.

The others are right: fluid retention. You ate food high in salt content. I'd drink a lot of water to flush the system and some black coffee - caffeine is a diuretic (it makes you pee a lot) and will stop the retention.
