Hi,
we are going to move to the US in a couple of weeks. Over here in Europe we don't pay much for TV. I was wondeing how much it'll cost to get Cable TV (I know there are many opeators, but what would you say is an average price?) and some premium TV (I'd like to order HBO AND Showtime).
Are there other recommendable Premium TV services, or are HBO and Showtime the biggest and best?
Thanks for your answers!

It depends on where you are in the country. You can get monthly packages for just basic tv cable from about $40 a month to all the way up to internet/phone/cable tv with all the premium channels for $150 a month. Good luck!

Las Vegas - Nevada Cox Cable costs me $80 a month
all local stations, the basic cable and HOB package about 200 channels. Now that Sopranos show is over cancelld the HBO on June 12, that is a saving sof $12.50

Go to the town you want to move to and see what the cable provider is and do a cost estimate
I used to live in New Jersey and similar to the above cable was only about $65 ...

US $35 for cable basic and another $30 for the premium channels.
You get 10 HBO channels and 10 Showtime channels plus a bunch of other movie channels.

HBO and Showtime are two of the worst!!! I don't want them and I don't get them by choice.

I have the DirecTv satellite HD package, and it's the best, hundreds of channels, lots of High Definition channels, too.

By the way, welcome!!!
