Rubbing alcohol works well on skin, walls, and other hard surfaces. The tide stick for when you're out somewhere and shout prewash gel and soaking in Oxy-Clean has worked in the past for me. The Tide stick works even if you don't get to it right away. Hope it works for you.

Good stain removers (Home Depot sells some that I like) might help with the clothes. It will eventually wash off of her skin. But don't forget to recognize this "teachable moment"! Don't be too angry with her. She's only 2. We all learn through our mistakes. Every time you wash her hands/face/arms (help her), look carefully at the stains and point them out to her. Say "Look, I think it's starting to come off. This is why we only color on paper." 2 year olds don't really hear the word "don't" very well, so always say "color on paper only!" And put away the permanent markers. She should only be using washable ones!

well as far as the clothes go, I don't think there's much you can do except try a stain stick, and wash immediately, but most likely it is just that, permanent.
For the 2 year old, unfortunately stain sticks for kids must still be in production, so just bathe her right away to try to get most of it off, what doesn't come off now will just have to fade in the form of nature taking it's course and her skin being shed over a week or two.

Good success with that one. I advise THROWING AWAY the markers. Switch them up for dry erase or cleanable water colour ones. Then to make matters somewhat less difficult, get her a coloring e-book and markers and watch over her at the same time she colours. This means she learns she colours on her paper, no longer her face.

LOL! Both my kids drew mustaches with permanet marker about 20 minutes ago!!!! It's good to know I'm not the only one. To get it out of the outfit try that oxyclean? Do they still make vivid?
I used warm soapy water to get it off her face, but the rest of her body seems to be covered for awhile!

goo-gone may work on the clothes. it works on a lot of things. but permanaent marker im not sure. I dont know about the body but it looks like youve gotten some good answers. if all else fails, it will wear off as dead skin cells come off...and will be a funny story in the meantime (i know, it doesnt seem like that when it's happened to you).

Off her I would use something like window lean or an alcohol-based cleaner. Clothes: permanent marker...

From my experience time is the best way to get it off skin lol. As for the clothes it will fade with washing, but I've never found a way to get it out completely.

A really good stain remover should work on her clothes but i'm not sure if you'll be able to salvage them. My daughter done exactly the same thing and I used nail varnish remover to get it off of her skin. Make sure you moisturise the areas after otherwise it will dry her skin out.
