Hi,
I had a male bichon once for about a week before my youngest son wanted him. Very nice dog, but impossible to house break even though he is neutered. I love the fur, beautiful!, and the temperament of the breed is lovely. My son took him to live with their family. He is great with our grandkids. This dog is hard to train. My son even named him Stupid because he is hard to get to do anything. He's about 5 yrs old now and still has no idea what "sit" means. But he is sweet and loveable.
My other son has a Llasa named Jake. I like him too. Nice dog, friendly, housebroken even though he is not neutered. The hair needs groomed regularly as does the Bichon's hair. The llasa is ok with kids, but more hyper than the bichon. This breed is easy to train and does anything to please his owners.
The cross would be lovely. Plus they probably wouldn't shed to much thanks to the bichon cross. I am curious to know if he is easily trained like a llasa or harder to train like a bichon. I hope you love your dog and enjoy him for many years.

The La-Chon is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Bichon Frise and the Lhasa Apso. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed.

I have a female that seems to be this crossbreed. She is sweet, lovable and energetic! She does like to sleep on the floor during the night but will stay on the bed until I fall asleep. She does like to play fetch and has pent up energy (but not as much as a Jack Russell Terrier!) so she does get played with a lot. Take your baby for lots of walks as this breed does like to socialize! Your baby should have his own bed anytime now...let him know that it is his own space...they do appreciate that!

he sounds cute! a crate is good for training he can probably get his own bed once he is litter trained well. i think its a bad idea for any dog to be allowed to sleep on the owners bed it causes plenty of dominance problems (watch its me or the dog!) id say for excercise the usual amount for a llhasa wud be fine. try searching websites for the right amount of excercise time, the rspca and blue cross have plenty of info. good luck and have fun!

Its a personal choice. The dog should definitely be potty trained before you lose the crate but in his own bed or yours is entirely your choice. Or let him make his own...

i have a bichon and we make him sleep in a crate with a pillow in it and he is fine, dogs think that they are the boss if you let them dp what they want they might start peeing aroung the house so you might want to just leave him/her in there.

He should have had his own bed immediately. Let him have yours if you haven't bought one for him yet, and you sleep in the crate! Crates should only be used if you are moving house and packing up your crockery etc.
