What would be important?

Actually I believe in Spirituality...and not organized religion, but in asking this question, let's find out what beliefs you think are necessary to create a spiritual minded group of individuals.
What important Biblical truths would be a part of this church?

Would there be a "leader"?

Would the individuals be Baptized? Sprinkling or immersion?

What beliefs concerning the Trinity would there be?

What beliefs about "Hell" would there be?

Who would be God's special group of people?

Is Jesus the head of the church?

Any other doctines that seem necessary to be a part of this group?
There's so many ideas, ( not necessarily in agreement ) out there, about religions or churches...so I wonder what we would want, if we could start our own group?

My church would be ever evolving,no regimented pulpits,no Sunday morning times to be awaken early on what maybe your only day off,it would be a sunset service out in the open air with tall trees surrounding us as we listened to our children play and our elderly grandparents share with us stories and blessing us with thier child-like faith,as we all felt how truely blessed and cared for by an omnipotent God in the Great void of space and time reaching us,small as we were to him/her.It would be a church that revelled in Families, all sorts gathering to support one another and preparing each other to face another work week with up-lifting comments, poetry and relevant texts, quotes from thos who once tred here such as Winston Churchill,or Martin Luther King jr.,or Robert Frost something without angst or reprisals for what we are not but for the greater truth of all our lives together, family, friends and helpers. The Church would be full of kindness and loving Men and Women who could find renewel as such with one another and thus be said to "have Love one towards another" a foundation of which our children and grandchildren would carry-over to thier own bright futures. We could sit and speak openly about Our Love for Our father/mother creator God amongst one another without fear or being misunderstood and each one would feel they had been heard, our hymns would be the listening to each other and the swells of nightfall coming, insects buzzing and the snap of a small fire burning in the center of our circle, each realising Family means anyone can be family and that the body of our church consists of us its members. That Christ did as much when He was here as he simply sat at a simple dinner in an upper room, church is not four walls and a floor its Human and alive, our church would never be dead with dogma or rituals those are manmade precepts and horrific mind-killers. God gave us minds, choices and instincts for our goodness to flow out through every aspect of our living days.

It would be a coven of both male and female witches, we would have a large open space like a barn for rituals in the cold weather, and a nice meadow or grove for rituals in the hot weather. In that barn, there would be a loft converted to bedrooms and a big kitchen to the back of the building where we could prepare meals. There would be workshops for crafts, a huge library, and lots of places for children to play.

Beliefs? That we are all part of Mother Nature, brothers and sisters and lovers, free to make our own choices and loving enough to share with one another and with the rest of the world. We would be active in resolving the ecological problems of the day, in creating art and music and joy of all sorts, and probably teach Tarot and meditation and yoga to people beyond our circle, reserving the important symbols and rituals to ourselves.

Sounds great, doesn't it? Too bad I'm too old and isolated to pull it off.

My idea on what a church shouldn't be: Ritualistic, regimented, dogmatic, & pretending to have all the anwers. The meetings would be much like an extended-family gathering, casual & fun, but with an emphasis on spiritual things. Everyone could express their thoughts on these matters, with no one view considered "the right one."
