Well, as per your question, "no matter how much evidence we come up with to prove God's non existence" the simple truth is that you haven't come up with any.... none at all. The best that you can do is to show that god may not be "necessary". That's a far cry from proof that a God "doesn't exist". On the other hand, the idea that someone would believe in something that has been proved to not exist can be shown as a bit pathological. Still, some beleive we haven't been to the moon yet. Some believe the Earth to be the center of the universe still. Whatever, you'll never prove the non-existence of God... It's logically not possible. The best you'll come up with is proof that he isn't necessary for creation.

Your logic is faulty. "You not having proof that God is real means he's fake." That's not logic. That's a mere assertion. If I do not have proof that you are real, does that mean you are a fake?
Well, in a sense you are. The avatar picture of you is a fake, you know. And the words typed here may or may not be coming from a human who resembles the avatar, or indeed from a human at all. For all I know, you are a computer program!
It is extremely difficult to prove a negative. It may be true that every crow you have ever seen was black. That does not prove there are no crows of some other color, unless we define the word "crow" to mean only those birds who have that genetic make-up and are black (i.e., eliminating albino crow as a possibility or giving it a different species name). So the fact that you have never seen convincing evidence for the existence of God does not mean he has been proven not to exist. It means it has not been proven (to your satisfaction) that he does exist. Different thing.
If you proved that the god I believed in did not exist, which would be difficult but not impossible, you still would not have proved that no god exists at all. You would only have proved that my own definition was not related to anything real. There might well be something else which is real and deserved to be described as a god.

I have proof, nothing I can hold out and show. except that I am psychic and that comes from God, and God has always given me the right answers. When I don't listen to God, I always regret it. Just because I can't see air, love, feelings. germs, or you, doesn't mean they don't exist. Try to have proof of love, give me a handful. you can't prove that either. Does that mean it does not exist? I have heard God speak to me...is that proof...does that mean God does not exist. Go ahead with your own beliefs, I don't put them down. Why do you have to put mine down? Are you scared? Are you sure you are sane? You cannot prove one way or the other. But I know in my heart. If you don't agree..fine. you don't have to get all ugly about it. I'm really sorry for you, you are missing something incredible beyond words.
Blessed Be.

So let me get this straight you have the sum knowledge of the universe. Enough to prove without a doubt that there is no God? This would mean that you have not only all the knowledge that is presently known but all knowledge that ever will be known, not only here on earth but any and everywhere. That makes you omniscient. Now who is insane?

I got this answer from an email some time ago... I am sure you will find it interesting...
A teacher asked his students: Did God create everything that exists? A student said yes, so the teacher said, "Then, God created EVIL, therefore, God is evil, therefore, the christian faith is a myth."
So another student said: Does "cold" exist? In reality... "cold" does not exist. According to the lays of physics, what we call "cold" is nothing more than the absence of warmth. We have created the term "cold" to describe the absence of warmth.
The student continued, Does "darkness" exist? It doesn't. We call dark or darkness to the absense of light. Newton's prism decomposes a ray of light into several colors and we can study its different waves. But we cannot study darkness, we measure darkness by calculating the amount of light. "Darkness" does not exist but it is the word we use to describe the absence of light.
Finally, the student concluded, "Evil" does not exist. "Evil is just the word we use to describe the absence of goodness.
"Evil" is the word we use to describe the absence of God, of love. God did not create evil.
Men (and women) can separate themselves from God. And their behavior may become evil because it lacks love.
Evil is the absence of the presence of God.
We cannot proof scientifically the existence of God and we can also not proof his (or her or both) inexistence. That is the beauty of faith.
However, I have been blessed to witness miracles. There are things in my life (good and bad) that could only be explained by the existence of God. I am a better person because of God and because I believe in God.
I don't mean to preach (please no!). I only appreciate the opportunity to tell a story I like a lot.

All things denote there is a God.
Look into the sky at night in a sparcely populated area and stare into the Milky Way and then tell me there is no God.
Study the structure of Egyptian pyramids and tell me there is no God.
Experience the miracle of new life and how perfect babies are and tell me there is no God.
The mere notion that you are living and breathing denotes there IS a God, and dispite all your effort to prove His non-existance, He still loves you.

Sorry, sweetie pie, but there isn't enough money or words to
make me change what I believe. That is that Jesus is real and
He died on a cruel cross to save humanity and those that would
accept Him, from eternal death. You see, I had my own encounter
with God on 2 Jan. 1971. He is real. He has also saved me in
many other ways, that if you were with me at the time, you would
be left wondering why you were still alive. God is real. I hope that
you come to know Him before you die, because I don't want to see
the look of horror on your face when you are confronted with Him
and insist: "You don't exist!" Surprise but He does. And He will say
to you "begone".

This is absoultely right. That is like saying no matter how much evidence you have that flying spehgetti monsters NOT REAL we still believe the spehgetti monster is real.
Or no matter how much evidence you have that adolf hitler was a cruel man and nearly commited genicide, he was a good man.
The concept that you choose to ignore facts to support your belief is insane. Thats like saying if your spouse had aids and you wanted to ignore your spouse gave you aids because he/she was cheating on you, even if you got an aids tests and was confirmed that would be insane.

if you went to school they explain about the pryamids from egypt and that its not built in a few years its built for a long long time and if you learned astrology they teach about stars and how they are really suns which are like a trillion time sbigger then earth but since its far away it looks smaller then earth to us from our perspective if you had science classes and you payed attention in them unless your school was reall that crappy you would know some of these basic things and explanations.. miracles of new babies is explained in school which contridicts, it is not a miracle. Nearly an oppertunity chance or probablity. And me living and breathing now is do to the fact that i survived and half of me was created in my dads testicle and half of me outcompeted all the rest of trillions of sperm. Also as the other half of me was created by my mom in a egg.Chance of me being born is porbably like 1/999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999. But its chance and is lucky for me it happenned that exact day at exact moment, but not a miracle.
But i bet being christian is much more important then education for you?I consider an amputee regrowing his lost leg or arm or whatever body part he lost on his own without doctors or stem cells a miracle. because even stem cells is not a miracle, they just found a way to minipulate stemcells. Just because you wish life to be more romantic doesnt mean its going to be and just because you wish it was simpler doesnt mean its going to be. Life will always be more complicated then you will imigine and trying to use a God theory will ignore that fact, especially when its a self contridiction theory with much more loopholes then science and that it is not a flexible and constantly growing, updating theory. It doesnt update because it nglects the fact that the world is ever changing and that old ideas become proven false and replaced by new ones. Trying to replace the science and complexity of life with a diety does nothing but cause dellusion, ignorance and mislead information about life which is explained more ligicaly, rationaly, wih evidence, Much better of more recent and older recordings things. Evidences that sciences proposes are based on facts and actual obsdervation, if the ideas are wrong the get proven wrong sooner or later and eplaced because the truth is more important. but christians dont want truth they only want faith-to believe.
I fin it mind boggling why someone would think faith is actually more important then whats going on and whats rational as well as proven. Fact that The theory of a single perfect entity that is all knowing and all powerful creates a imperfect world demanding sin free world, makes no sense as well as the fact that he should be perfect doing this. Because to have sinfree world/society you need a perfect world/society. And if he enjoys this why? I thought he was all loving> created in his imiage. Then why i dont look like adam and eve who are mad in his image therefore I should look like god too. but that means everyone else should however most of us are very distinguishable with a grand variety of physical appearance.. But wait therefore we would need the the theory of evolution of theory but many aspects go againts the creationism. Like that we have evolved slowly into humans over a large large period of time and people seem to not know how long this period of time was or try to understand. Also other science related that supports evolution and everyday science of people giving birth would contrdict of a person possibly being a pure female virgin unless they had cloning technology Then it would not make sense. but if they had cloning technology then why was it just found out now? Makes no sense at all.
But you believe it just because you read this in a book? written by a series of men which cant be proven to be prophets of a god. Maybe they just simply predicted events?
Anyone can predict events. They are wrong predictions and right ones but getting them right has nothing to do with god.
What if you had found a book telling you you were going to die in two weeks would you believe it? that the only way you would be saved is to obey my laws and not gods everyday or you will die a black hole. Would you beleive that? why not? the same type of logic you implied is on religion.

Believing in God involves: FAITH. Look that word up in the dictionary. Oh, and someday when you come face to face with Him, and realize that you had your whole life here on earth to accept and believe, NOT by proof , but by faith, you will be oh so sorry. There is still time, and you could try this: ask God Himself to show Himself to you. He is the only one who can prove He exists. I dare you........

I dont know why belief in a god isnt already considered insane. I mean hearing voices and seeing things are reasons why people get locked up. How does the voices being religious figures excuse this?
