Beijing has the most tourist destinations with The Great Wall being number one. Also, the Square. Hong Kong is next because of the shopping and Shanghai being the third with The Bundt and the it's new development, PuDong (east of the river, being third. I have some stories about it in my blog that you can read.

Mandarin is the official language, mainly spoken in the North half but South China speaks another, though similar dialect called Cantonese. Mandarin is NOT spoken by 80% of the people. A higher percentage in the cities but the country people speak their own dialects. There are about 900 total dialects. The Government's presence is everywhere, especially in Beijing. It is still 80% communist. I am going there in a little over a week. There are no significant health or government warnings. Best wishes.

The main language is Mandarin Chinese (putonghua) which is spoken by about 80% of the population, then we have Hakka, Wu and Cantonese which are spoken the most after that. The main ethnic group is the Han Chinese, there are also Manchu and other groups (55 in total). The government is the Communist Party of China who have been in power since 1949. You will need a visa for entering China, as for health requirements you will need malaria medication for Southern China because it is more tropical but Northern China is more like the UK and North US. Do your homework on your own next time.
