i normally download file sharing programs like bittorent whenever i feel like downloading a film and then i remove it after the download is complete as i only use it about twice every month and keeping it would be a waste of space, will adding and removing this every month have any effect on my pc?

Adding-removing the same program won't affect your PC but if u add-remove a variety of programs it may slow down ur pc or cause some problems because it will leave some patches and other stuff u won't need.

Nope - I do the same with Google Earth - takes up too much space so when I want it, I download, then uninstall!
