....because seasonal fruits may be locally grown, may be purchased fresh and ripened naturally, have delicious flavor, and have more essential vitamins and nutrients than canned or frozen. Ever had a sweet summer peach? Or sweet corn roasted on the grill? A fresh ripe red tomato?

Because they are cheaper than fruit and veg being flown in from elsewhere - you should support your countries growers - they haven't been kept in conditions detrimental to your health (like irradiated) - generally they are more tasty.

Because things removed right from the vine, ground, tree...etc, have the most nutritional value. Simply put, the vitamins are still 'active'.
