* One disadvantage of having air conditioning is the inability of being able to adapt to the rising climate temperatures which makes people dependent on it in order to survive. An electrical blackout during a heatwave could be life threatening for AC addicts.
* Another disadvantage is the high operating costs associated with it.
* It puts more heat into the environment than the heat it takes away from the space it cools from the mechanical heat and the energy that's burned to electrically operate it.
The best thing you can do for yourself and the environment is to gradually wean yourself off one degree at a time until you become free from it. Humans have survived without it for longer than it has been around.

There are many reports of bronchial and nasal infections due to the cooled and low humidity air drying the air passages in the head and lungs, This hinders the cleaning of bacteria and pollutants from the air system, leading to infections.
The extra electricity needed right now helps make it hotter with power companies running their equipment harder.
Blown wires and fuses, and even fires, can result, also, especially in older housing and buildings, which leaves you subject to very rapid warming unexpectedly. And discomfort.
And you do not want to go out of the envelope of A/C for any reason, which encourages vegging to the lousy TV programming and mental shutdown!

1) Air condition doubles as a dehumidifier, which dries up skin.
2) Bigger electric bill from its high power motor compressing freon.
3) A slight increase in ambient noise. Poor ones could cause hearing loss.
4) Risk of air condition system no longer cooling because leaking freon. Which cost money to fix.
5) Getting use to the chill. Can't sleep elsewhere without one.
6) Aircond's motor increases electrical noise in house's supply lines, which may disrupt audio-video devices.
7) Responsibility to periodically clean filtration.
8) Have to air-tight the room, which the air condition is in. Which causes the room to be stuffy when aircond is off.
Summary:
dries up skin, bigger bill, noise, might leak, afraid of heat, more electrical noise, added responsibility, seal up room

-You stand a high chance of developing health issues/complications such as throat problems. Also the accumulated dust would cause you cancer when they are blown and absorbed into your system.
-There is a quickened wear and tear in your building.
-There is also the high rise in electric bill.
-You will soon be avoiding your friends who dont have it because their rooms are heated up.

1 you can get sick if you are too close to it
2 uses up more electricity
3 you are more likely to be obese because once you get an air conditioner your bodies cooling mechanisms (that require energy and in result burn fat) shut down
