Ok, as stated, please carry your insulin in a carry on bag (about 2 days worth at least). You can pack the other insulin in your checked baggage if you like. It will not freeze. The cargo holds are pressurized and some are climate controlled (for animals/cargo/etc). We have many people who pack their medication in a checked baggage and then realize that they do not have any for use then. We have held several flights before, digging through the other 200 bags onboard the aircraft to find just one bag. Sometimes causing the delay of the other 120+ people. And please, please (we beg you) keep your syringes safe and capped. I can't tell you how many times people have left needles in checked baggage and have seen people get pricked by them. That is a scary thing for someone to go through (with all the diseases in the world and such), not knowing what type of needle it was, or what type of medication/medical problems a person has. Good luck with your flight, and I wish you the best on your trip.

For cabin luggage, you're allowed to take a max of100ml liquid per container (in the plastic bag) up to a total of 1000ml, so maybe you could have the insulin in small enough batches?

How do you administer it? You may have more problems trying to get a syringe on board. I'd check with Thomas Cook directly and maybe ask your doctor for a letter confirming the medical need for you to have your equipment with you.

Good luck.

I always carry all of my insulin and needed supplies with me in my carry on luggage. If you label things well and make sure to have prescription information as well as a doctors note you should have no issues as far as quantity.

First of all,do not chance sending it in your luggage.Check with the air line about taking a small cooler with (blue ice) on board with you.I do this all the time myself.Be sure to have your prescription with you so you don't have problems with security, and can get a refill if you need it.There should be no problem. My last trip to the States (from Spain) was a two month trip.Depending on where you are going, you should be able to get your prescription filled with no problem.I took two months of all my meds with me,and had no problems.

I have never had any liquids freeze on me in my check on baggage. I am pretty sure that you won't have this problem but check with your airlines to make sure. They are getting real sticky about bringing any liquids in your carry on luggage so you need a definite answer from your airline. I am sure they have provisions for this type of thing.
