Hi, anyone here have lived in Riyadh and knows places to go and have fun with friends from both genders?
places to meet new people and have some good time?

I am since six years looking for what you are looking for!!! Sorry to tell you I didn’t find anything really interesting? Riyadh is very difficult for bachelors who are living alone… I was going to desert and camping, it is good and you will get fresh air but… boring…
Also I was going to coffee shops in tahliya street and thalatheen, but it is very very boring,,, I visited almost all the shopping malls in Riyadh, so what? Same thing everywhere, people watching each other…tedious….., good thing you can do is to join sports club, “I am not sure if there is for females”,
Honestly, the best place is to set at home and read for najjeb mahfouth ,ihsan abdulquddus, yousif idrees, attaiyb saleh. Also you can go to yahoo games and play chess…..

You got to be kidding right? Members of the opposite sex do not mix and mingle in Saudi Arabia. Alcohol is not allowed so you can rule out bar hopping. All I ever did was go to the shopping malls. The previous poster wasn't kidding about meeting some new and interesting people. Do one thing that the morals police find offensive and you'll be in a world of hurt.

Go to Batha area on weekends, you can meet many peoples around.
Sorry, nothing else to do in Riyadh for fun.

Shopping malls, Olaya street's coffe shops, Tahliyah street's coffe shops or go to the desert like Thamamh for camping.

go camping there are many places where you can rent camps in the desert it is really fresh air and fun. i.e. Themama. also many fine resturants.

You can stand on the corner and sell bibles and Playboy magazines. It will be fun and you will meet interesting people and have new experiences.
