I want to get a tattoo but I want it to come out looking as good as possible. I want to make sure I choose the right artist to do it but I really don't know anything about the different shops near me, nor do I know anyone who does. Is there a place where I can find reviews on artists and shops near me?

I live in San Diego, CA.

The problem isn't finding the shops, I was just hoping to find some customer reviews on the artists themselves. I really would rather feel comfortable knowing that the artist is good rather than just walking into some random shop.

good for you for being proactive about your prospective tattoo. there are many cities that don't have a "phenomenal" artist but there is usually one within driving distance. here are a few that may be in your area. i have no experience with them personally but can assure you that they are talented and i would be comfortable being worked on by any of them:

ignition tattoo: the tattoos that come out of this shop are so amazing. http://www.ignitiontattoo.com/artists.htm

Stay away from it. I always tell people, if they are going to add a substance, make sure it's a straight medicine. God forbid you have a reaction, you wont know if it's a healing infection or a reaction to the balm. If you are serious about getting this stuff, Put some on your arm for a day and if it doesn't react negatively, then put it over the tattoo

Try CitySearch.com

Not sure if you will find any comments there but Judy Parker is in San Diego - Pacific Tattoo.

Well, first I need to know where you live. What city and state? And then when you tell me where you live, I'll look up some tattoo parlors and send you all the info.

Cheers

simply look in your local yellow pages or go to www.local.com, or go to the downtown areas and drive around.

Don't mess-up with your body...pass the tatoo and instead buy yourself something good.
