Spray with frontline. Careful, at this age, use the spray, not the ampoules. And only press the spray button like 6-7 times, don't empty the bottle on the kitten. And make sure you don't get the spray in his eyes/mouth, and that it doesn't lick it off his fur until it is completely dry. Don't worry, all the kittens i have taken off the streets had fleas and they vanished after a spray with Frontline.
One more tip: as you spray his body, the fleas may start climbing to his head, or his eyes, because you haven't sprayed there. be prepared to catch them if they are walking on the head and drown them in a smal quantity of frontline that you will have sprayed in a small bowl or sth.
PS. Just flea combing with no medication will do nothing, because they hide really well, I don't know how, but you don't catch them simply by combing.

At this age it is best to get the advice of a vet. A lot of over the counter remedies are for kittens a bit older.
You could try giving him a bath. Fill your kitchen sink with luke warm water about 2-3 inches deep and use a cup/glass to pour the water over him. I've done that before and the fleas drown and fall into the water. Keep him warm afterwards though make sure you towel dry him thoroughly and then give him a good brushing

DON'T use anything at Wal-mart or anywhere for fleas!
It is only for cats 12 weeks or older.
You can bathe the kitten with a little Dawn dish soap and some water, and comb it's hair with a flea comb and it should be okay.
Also, don't put a flea collar on it until it is at least 12 weeks old!
The chemicals can make your kitten retarded, or have seizures or even die.
*** make sure any product you use on the kitten doesn't say '12 weeks or older'. check all over it, sometimes it is in very small print, or you have to pull a flap open to find it. ***

The best flea treatment is Advantix! It repels all types of bugs, kills all stages of fleas, the fleas die within 12 hours, and get this: It is water proof where no other flea product on the market is not. It is also very cheap. Around $10 a month will keep you cat flea free every month.

Yes! In your local supermarket... Walmart?? Or Coles? Or Woolworths? They have special treatment for kittens and it is very cheap like $5 so just go down there and you can either get flea powder or a liquid treatment.

Frontline spot on is meant to be easy to use. But they need to be at least 8 weeks old or 1kg. Maybe you could use a flea comb for a week and then use frontline?
