Wow, so many people giving poor advice here, even when their parents are doctors. Sorry just had to say that, anyhow, let me explain why the other persons wrong and why its bad for your body to listen to people like that...
Now when talking about weight loss, you should focus not FAT + WATER loss, and NOT muscle loss. Now if you just have greens, yeah theyre good for you and they contain fiber which is good for you, but your not really getting protein. You need protein for your muscles, you lose muscle mass, you burn less calories and then you get fat again, or even fatter.
Now also considering your a female, you need iron. Iron is best absorbed from red meat. So you should have red meat once a week at least. Now lets also not forget the fact that if you cut FAT out of your diet, you have a chance of getting gallstones while you are losing weight, you need a little bit of fats in your diet.
I've lost 50 pounds myself, and I can tell you its not easy, but its possible, and you can definetly do it if you want it bad enough, and it is possible by the end of the year.
You need to change your diet, I cant tell your exactly how many calories to consume because I dont know your BMR and size and all that, but try to slowly drop your calories to 1000 calories a day, dont go under though. Keep it balanced, and have meals every 3 hours, but small ones. Try to only consume complex carbs, the lower on the glycemic index, the better. ((Also, dont cut out carbs, your going to blow up into a balloon after you reintroduce carbs, so its a bad idea)
Let me also mention something else. I dont care what you do, or what anyone tells you, your not going to lose 50 pounds safely and keep it off by the end of the year with diet only. Thats just plain impossible. You need to do cardio and you should also be doing weight training, and yes even if you are a girl. Your never going to get anything close to guy muscles, so dont think its going to make you bulky, it will only help you.
But as previously mentioned by someone else, you should be having a lot of water because the more you think, the less your body will store because it will know more is coming, and also, eating lots of greens is always good, but not just greens and fruits, thats a recepie for muscle loss.

permanent lifestyle changes lead to permanent results, dont look at diet as something you "go on"
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
