You can buy a chewable calcium at Trader Joes.
This is the phase of life when your child is growing very fast and it is growing pains.
A nice hot bath before bedtime helps. Aldo the calcium. Make sure when he is hot and sweaty to give him gaitoraid to drink or a bananna.
Get a heating pad with a timer on it so it shuts off . so child doen't burn. Cover the pad to that there is less heat to avoid burning chid.
If it is really bad in the middle of the night An nice long shower or bath helps. Also when it is very bad you can give the child tylanol.
Also some simple stretches before bed time can help a great deal.

My first thought was "growing pains", where the joints are growing so quickly that it actually hurts. I understand that it is more common in boys, since they tend to grow more quickly upwards than girls. Massage is said to help with the pain, but ask your child's doc if a small dosage of Tylenol or other pain reliever could be used. Also have the doc give your child a thorough exam to see if there may be any other problems that could be the root of the pain.

IT IS growing pains! A GREAT help is a heating pad! My grown nephew just let me know of this the other night when my 5 year old was up crying about her legs. AND man did it work. Just make sure you don't fall asleep with the thing on HIGH cause you can end up with another problem......
I now sleep with a heating pad next to my bed in the case she wakes up in that HORRIBLE pain again....you can rub and rub and rub those little legs but it doesn't stop it indefinitely but the heat DOES!!! GO BUY ONE NOW if you don't have one! Good luck tired mommy :(

It's probably just growing pains, which are no fun. Tylenol, heating pad & massage helps for that. Just so you're aware of another possibility, my best friends son went through this also and it turned out to be JRA, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. If it sticks around &/or gets worse I would ask his Dr about it. Hope it works out.

She must take milk everyday along with the protien diet. Add lots of pulses and greens in the diet. Apart from that Shelcal is the tab which works good for calcium deficiency.

No, its most likely growing pains. Two of my three kids get them awful at times.... They'll wake up crying that their legs/feet hurt. I usually just massage them and give them Tylenol and they're fine. Totally normal.
