Yes they do work out, but most of them fail.. you must have a lot of trust in this relationship.. Plus your gf is very young, she may not have experienced the world yet.. Most things would be new to her and she most probably will want to experience further.
Keep in contact with her. Visit her during olidays.. so on and so forth.. keep the relationship going strong.

You are young so give it a go. My long distance relationship is still going strong after 6mths apart. We meet each month and it is like a honeymoon. We speak each day and try to find time to just communicate, this seems to work well. My last 2 long term relationships were both long distance due to work etc. One was for 11 years the other 3 years. It is hard you have to work at it and keep up the cards, romance and ph calls. Good luck.

with technology today, you have easier answers to how to keep long distance relationships working. You're still young and there are a lot of things to know, places to see, and people to know of. So just keep communications open and trusting one another is a major factor to keep you going! Now whether it works out or not, depends on BOTH of you!

Well... Long distance relationships are a lot of work. Just keep trying, you're young. Just make sure that your lines of communication are clear. And things should work out okay.

my parents were high school sweethearts (my mom was 16 when she met my dad) and a long distant relationship for sometime but they also broke it off a few times. it can work if it's meant to. don't worry about it now.
