Does it bother anybody else that certain drivers race in both the Busch series and Nextel Cup? I think it shouldn't be allowed because if anything it's allowing them to get a better feel for the track and more time to figure out certain turns and such. Besides, I thought the Busch series was for the drivers who weren't good enough for the Nextel Cup. It's kind of pathetic if you think about it, big names like Stewart, Harvick, K. Busch, and Edwards going down a notch to pick on the rookies... it just isn't right. This is like if some varsity football players played the day before with the freshmans, it just isn't right.

I think Nextel drivers should be able to race in the Busch series, but not be able to win the championship. The racing gives the Busch drivers experience driving with the big dogs, but it's not fair to the Busch drivers when a Nextel driver takes their championship. Kind of like an NFL team winning a college championship.

I have always wondered about that as well, that is why it is kinda nice to see Johnson and Gordon winning so much this year. As far as it being an advantage, I don't think it really is, the Busch car tend to run at about 20 to 30 MPH slower then the Nextel, so the track tends to feel a bit different at those speeds, but when you look at it from the other side, it deffinitly give the Nextel drivers a big advantage over the Busch drivers, you go 185 + mph around a track and then jump in a car that does about 160mph, you have that puppy floored the whole race and not even break a sweat.

It is an advantage in the sense that the drivers get more seat time and when at the same track can try things on the Busch car even with the lower HP that might transfer into something that they can use on the Cup car. Buschwacking grew and got out of hand when Nascar limited the number of test seasons per team to try and level the field with smaller budget teams. I hear that the test rule is changing back to the way it was, I'm guessing more along the lines because teams are going to non Nascar tracks to test anyway which is outside the test rule. I don't think this will necessarily reduce the number of buschwackers as they care about racing, they draw tickets and for the most part you hear them saying they are having fun. I don't think you will see a rule about it anytime soon, specially with the sponsor change coming.

The "buschwhackers" are out of hand. For this reason I am pishing my support for the C O T so there is a MAJOR difference between the 2 cars.Sure there are non-companion events that drivers race to race by the companion events offer some basic setup information.
There should be a limit on the number of events that a cup driver can run in the Busch series. If the cup driver happens tobe leading the point series then he has to commit to either Cup or Busch.

If the cup guys were not in the race yesterday it would have been a slim field, only 44 tried to qualify, some folks can't afford to go to cup races & only go to Busch, it still gives them a chance to see their favorite drivers on occassion, on the other hand it is suppose to be a learning experience for up & coming drivers, would everyone not like cup drivers in Busch if it were JG, Jr or some of those drivers doing it every week?

The Busch series needs the help selling tickets and the regulars get better by racing against the best.

If you are only looking for people that think like you do, then what is the point in seeking advice? A lot of the people that say you should wait until you are married say that because they have seen through their own experiences how much trouble it can save. They want you to learn from their mistakes and not go through the exact same situations they did. You're right, not everyone believes that you should wait until they are married. If they are earnestly looking for the best path for their life, they should consider options that might not seem attractive at first. If you gave the idea a chance, maybe you come to the conclusion that in the long run it is the better idea. Again, why look for advice if you aren't willing to at least listen to the other side of the story?

NASCAR should limit the number of races the Cup drivers run in the Busch Series. It's good for business, but not to have them run the full series. That isn't fair to the fulltime bush drivers and owners.

It's fine. They aren't driving the same cars. Busch cars are different than Nextel cars. It's a different race. Let them drive if they want too. Imagine driving your regular car one day and then the next you have to drive someone else's much bigger car the next day......it's different right?
