Black, White, Brown, and Gray are not colors, they are neutrals.

Colors are those in the spectrum of yellow, blue, and red (along with any combination of them).

Thats why its not a colored television, 10 points? :-)

well because most people think of colours like black and white as neutral colours meaning brighter colours is what you see in everyday life. You don't see everything in life as black and white that's why they refer to black and white as non colour TV

P.S: You can spell colour/color in either ways it British and American spelling both are accepted

because a black & white TV can show only Black & White colors so said as "Black & White TV". But the TV, which can show many colors can't be called as "Red, Yellow, Blue, Cyan...........TV". So they simply call it a "color TV".

Because 'colour' TV should really be called 'colours' TV (plural, not singular, to emphasize the pesence of many colours), but that sounds ridiculous when you say it, so it will never happen.

black, and white when added up becomes neutral, hence there is no colour seen in this type of t.v.

black is like(-ve),and white is like (+ve), hence they get neutral, and gives no colour.

black is what is produced when all the colours are absorbed.
White is produced when all colours are reflected.
So,they are not colours practically.
