And is there a church for that. This is probably a stupid question, but I'm very confused about my religion and the older I get the more I feel like I need a set religion and people around me who believe the same thing.

If it's agnostic you want to know about. It's an idea or philosophy, not a religion. Being agnostic just says that you cannot have absolute knowledge of a higher power. You admit that you cannot prove the existence of a god or prove against it. It says nothing about being atheist or theist. Once you declare to be agnostic, some may also be theists who may attend mass, but will always hold true their agnostic belief in that they cannot know for certain that there is a higher power. Likewise, an agnostic could be an atheist who doesn't believe in a god, but admits that they cannot prove it. It's not a religion with set rules or anything like that. You are just admitting that, as a human, you cannot possess the knowledge to prove there is a higher power.

Agnostic- lacking knowledge to proof that either proves or disproves the exsistnce of god
Yeah I think there is a church look up "agnostic church" on google.
Some agnostics also go to UU type churches like
http://www.uua.org/
I dont go to either because I dont really care for any church. Much has to with the fact I know I am not going to find any kind of agnostic church in my area.

Edit: After reading these responses I think another poster is right in saying maybe this isnt the best place to ask as it seems most people here dont know. Wiki may be a good place to start.

Do you mean Agnostic or Gnostic? Gnostic is from the Greek and means "to know" (the truth). Agnostic means "Not to know" or "Don't know" (the truth). The Gnostics are much like New Age theology, believing that God could be a tree or a rock or a bird, or we could be God, or the air could be God. In one of the Gnostic gospels there is even a quote "If you split wood, I am there". There is no real Gnostic church in fact they tend to despise the church.

Agnostics either believe 1) It is absolutely impossible to know for sure if God exists or if God is personal or impersonal 2) It is possible to find God, but I personally have not been convinced either way yet...........Again there is no real organized church of Agnosticism.

You mean aGnostic. The 'a' means without, the other part is from the greek 'gnosis', meaning knowledge. So, 'without knowledge', referring to a person who does not know if there is or is not a god. My opinion is that nobody KNOWS for certain if there is a god, so we are all agnostics, but that's just me. You won't find any church of agnosticism, sorry. It's not a religion.

It's "agnostic". Generally, agnostics are people who are muddled and undecided on what specifically they believe... they often do believe in a higher power of some kind, or in fate, or in any other number of spiritual/supernatural things; but don't really feel aligned to any stated faith or religion, and often haven't decided where they want to go with it or have yet to coalesce those beliefs, if that makes any sense.

If you want to know what it is, you should probably look it up and find out on your own. This might not be the best place to find the answer. Also, you shouldn't feel like you need a set religion. God won't hate you if you don't have a religion. All that matters is that you have faith in him and love him.

If you mean Agnostic, it is a person who thinks there is a higher power, but not sure of who or what it is. The is no set religion for Agnosticism, as each will believe something slightly different.

I think you mean agnostic. Agnostics believe in God, but don't believe God cares about humans. I don't think there is a church for that.

Jehovah's Witnesses publish a really cool book called Mankinds Search for God that breaks down all the different kinds of religion and exactly what they believe. I have found it to be pretty accurate. Of course, they advocate for their own beliefs, but the book is very informative. You can order it on their website watchtower.org.

agnostic literally means "without knowlege" it means that the person doesnt know if theres a god or not, if there's fate or not, and so on.

the unitarian universalists study all religions and social philosophies and each congregant is encouraged to identify their own personal definition of the divine.

An agnostic is someone who does not believe in any God, but also does not believe there is no God. Basically, they dont KNOW for sure, and accept it. No, there is no church for them.
