Read some of Barbara Thierings books, especially Jesus The Man or John: The Book That Jesus Wrote.
She hypothesises about pescher in the first of these, deriving some interesting conclusions, supported by facts known about how people lived in the Middle East at the time Jesus lived.
Furthermore, in the second book she explains the miracles in the terms of pescher AND explains how alliteration, simile and metaphor were used to explain the miracles. Her explanations show that the miracles could be taken at face value, for the ignorant masses, while hiding a much deeper explanation. These explanations refer to how the priesthood worked, its hierarchies, etc. These were deliberately disguised as had they been written literally, the authors and people involved would probably have been executed; at least imprisoned.
It is controversial, but is supported by massive amounts of fact that I find difficult to overlook. Despite my readings of the bible, and personal studies, I am unable to refute her explanations. This should not be surprising, as her scholarship is internationally recognised. It would be like me trying to refute a Nobel-prize winning physicist in his own area of specialisation.

Because anything is possible to those who believe in Jesus. I have seen people healed just by saying the name of Jesus. We are at the end of the age. All sorts of sweet stuff is gonna start happening, ie. walking on water...miracles.
Just be careful, the devil is full of lies and tricks to make you go astray...not every miracle you will see will be of God:(
