I was wondering what cars are comparable in terms of performance compared to the 350Z, RX-8, and WRX? can someone list the cars that are comparable in terms of speed and performance? Thanks.

Im looking for a car that is around 20K-30K and is not the 350z, RX-8, and WRX (Not STI). Something that is japanese or german, and is not an american car. I dont really like the SRT-4 or GTO, cause they are american cars and they feel cheap inside, and for the Mazdaspeed 3, i heard they have some problems, and for the S2000, i dont want a 2 door convertible... Any suggestions? What car can compete with these 3?

2.0 Turbo, 200 Horsepower, 207 Ft Lbs of Torque.
As of handling, its feeling like the car is on rails, I own one and this car is amazing.
As for speed, ive taken on all sorts of muscle and rice, and beat most of them. The engine is overbuilt and can handle up to 25 psi of boost. Im currently running 8-10 with a manual boost controller.
Base cost is around 23-24k loaded for 26k. Add another 5 grand and upgrade the turbo and other parts and you can squeeze out 400 Hp easily. I will be soon.
Plus you get 34 mpg on the highway in sixth gear. Not bad for a car of this caliber.

The 350Z is a class leader there are no other cars close Honda S 2000 240 HP vs 306hp for a Z. Pontiac GTO I own one is a coupe. GM discontinued after 2006 has 400 hp and is much heavier and with out the sway bars and wider tires my GTO would not keep up with a stock Z at my favorite road racing track. BUY a Z install Nismo parts intake stillen exhaust a couple of sway bars and you will have a great handling sports coupe. And after warranty has expired put a set of headers on it. Base car will work. if you enlarge the front brakes (Stop Tech) The brembo brakes are great but expensive rotors. Nismo RAY's alloy wheels 18 x 10 in the rear and 18x9 front with High quality tires and have a fun car.

Well I'll assume your talking about a standard WRX not an STI. The Chevy Cobalt SS/SC and ION Redline compare very well with all 3 of these cars speed and handling wise. The Mazda Speed 3 and Dodge SRT-4 are also comparable speed wise. They are also cheaper. The Cobalt SS/SC and Redline are about 22k. The speed 3 and srt 4's are about 23-24k. 350Z's and RX-8's are 27k the WRX is about 24K.

Honda S2000, Mitsubishi Lancer EVO II and of course if you have the bucks, the BMW 6-series, the ferraris , jaguars, and the masarettis and yeah not to forget the porsche and the BMW Z 11...its one heck of a machine !
