Actually he was referring to one of Luther's book entitled "the Jews and their lies" he also claimed that Wagner was an inspiration for his crimes as well...but all in all he probably didn't need that much motivation to hate.

Because he tried to win the support of whomever he needed something from or wanted to deceive. If the nation or group he spoke to were primarily supporters of Martin Luther's ideas than he'd claim him in some way. Hitler also I believe claimed to be Christian as well as a Nordic Pagan who believed that all Aryans were descended from giants who lived in Atlantis, when the situation suited him. He found similar influences with the English nobility that he swayed to his favor, American businessmen, French, Italian anyone that he need something from he developed a common interest with.

If he thought it would get him what he wanted I'm sure he would have found a way to be a Hindu, a Buddhist or Whovian!

I doubt that. Hitler hated the Jews as a results of fact he blamed capitalism and Jewish bankers for the crumple of the German financial equipment (and the League of countries). Antisemitism develop into rampant during the term as a results of fact the Jews have been seen outsiders and being a non-christian needless to say did no longer help them. If antisemitism wasn't as stable because it develop into, the Nazi social gathering might in no way have gained the election to capability interior the 1st place.

Because Martin Luther was a HUGE antisemite

He argues that their synagogues and schools should be set on fire, their prayer books destroyed, rabbis forbidden to preach, homes razed, and property and money confiscated. They should be shown no mercy or kindness,[4] afforded no legal protection,[5] and these "poisonous envenomed worms" should be drafted into forced labor or expelled for all time.[6] He also seems to advocate their murder, writing "[w]e are at fault in not slaying them."[7]

i know he deleted several books and verses from danial and esther because they had to many similarities to judaism, strangely he took the canon of scripture from jews who were opposed to jesus. he even wanted revelations and hebrews to be deleted.
