For me, I appreciate how he carried responsibility by going to work everyday and providing for six of us kids on one income with nothing left over for himself and never complaining about it. Good Man!

All those fights about not wanting to go to school, wash the dishes and clean my room. How I wish I could turn back time.
He worked hard to bring three kids up on his own and now as an adult I treat him with the love and respect he deserves. I appreciate my Dad for the wonderful man he is. For the strength he has to put up with his other kids abuse and still talk to them and visit them. My Dad would not hurt a fly. Father's Day is everyday for my Dad. He deserves it.

His patience and his will to do anything for the people that he loves without asking or expecting anything in return. I didn't realize all this when i was younger but now when i see him with my son i do. I also understand better that the "unfair " things he did when i was teen like early curfews and the boyfriend "background checks" was his way of protecting his lil girl, and it makes me love and appreciate him even more today! HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO ALL DADS OUT THERE!!!

Your answer works for my dad, too- and I also appreciate his personality more now. He's a quiet guy, but I know that he is always there for me, no matter what. I didn't realize that when I was younger, but looking back, I can tell he always was.

That he is not around, never has been since I was 6. He taught me how not to be a father. I am a good dad unlike him.

Other then 1 vacation growing up my father called in to work four times. Once when his back went out and he could not walk and once when my mother died. Other then that he never called in sick to work..
