There isn't a dress code. Just go supporting whichever team it is you pull for and go for the gold. Enjoy and have a great time. There is nothing like going to a race in person, but to be in the pits would be totally awesome!!!

I went to pits in April, I had on my driver's shirt, shorts and tennis shoes w/ socks. Being in that big of a crowd, it's best to not wear flip flops and going to the pits too.

When we went to Chicagoland Speedway in the pits we were allowed to wear shorts, tank tops and tennis shoes. Every track may not be the same though, so if nothing else you should email them and ask. Don't want to get there and not let in because you're not dressed appropriately. Have Fun !!

there is no dress code other than wearing your credentials in plain view. put on a great pair of jeans, comfortable shoes, and a t-shirt from your favorite driver! be sure to people watch, though , some girls still think it is cute to wear high heels and make-up, do their hair and show off their tans by wearing white! guess they don't know that pit road is really just one really long, hot, dirty garage!

For most race tracks, you must have your legs and shoulders covered, and cannot wear open toed shoes on days with on-track activity (practice, qualifying, etc). Prior to the start of the Cup race on Sunday, those restrictions are lifted with the exception of those who have garage passes.

It varies from track to track. Most allow shorts etc. Some allow shorts etc except on race day. Best bet is to call the track. Phone # will be on their web site.
