From the world as a great effect we may argue the possibility of a great cause.
From the apparent order and design in the world we may argue the possibility of a designing intelligence.
From the apparent rule of the world by moral law we may argue the possibility of a moral law giver.
Isn't it possible that God reveals himself to man both in nature and in scripture so that no man can evade constant confrontation by that which reveals the living and true God? I see nothing defective in the revelation of God in nature.
The sum total of the facts revealed in nature, and in scripture prove the existence of God.
So why the great need for God's credentials?
All viewpoints respected and appreciated. I only ask for objectiveness.

These arguements are not only recent questions, I cite from the Westminster Confession of faith.

From the apparent order and design in the world - The "order and design" we have can be explained the natural selection. If there was a designer, it would be a pretty crappy one since we have cancer, and diseases. Also, if you argue that everything complex needs a creator, where did the creator come from?

From the apparent rule of the world by moral law - Our 'moral law' is a product of evolution. We evolved to function well in society, so we have an urge to not hurt others. One could also argue that there is no set of moral rules throughout mankind, since customs and traditions on what acceptable behvior is varies so much.

Everything that changes is caused to change by something else. Like the gravity that caused the apple to fall from the tree. And since this process cannot go back indefinitely, there must therefore be a first cause. (Thought to be God) But then who or what caused God? If you say nothing, then we are allowing something to exist without a cause. And if we allow this, then we may just conclude that everything was caused by the nature of the universe itself and not God.

I agree with you. Romans chapters 1-2 explains it very well. It says that God reveals Himself through creation, so that people are without excuse, but they willfully suppress the truth. It all comes down to the original sin- pride. Accepting that there is a God means having to live by His rules.

different religions exist, that's why. All have differnet "proof" of their own. Evidence is very very important, without evidence you should be worshiping other gods like Zeus, the FSM, Poseidon, Apollo, etc. by now.Evidences are important, because it provide us the truths.

P.S. Don't tell me these gods are man-made since these gods suggest that your god IS the man-made. But if you use proof, you could clearly see that all of them aren't real
