I am trying to replace speakers in my Lebaron by when I removed my old speakers it was plugged into four wires with a clip. The new speakers I have do not have a clip with them and it seems as though I need to weld the wires onto the speaker posts. This seems quite extensive so I am assuming I'm doing something wrong. This is my first time attempting to do speaker work and am completely lost so any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks :D

The easiest way is to purchase something like this:
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-6seLC3LNZCw/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=12071013
That's a 4-pin oval version; a 4-pin rectangular harness is also available. In either case the two center pins in the harness carry the audio signal, and the outside pins are power and ground wires for the factory amp that's mounted to the speaker in some Chrysler vehicles.

Another option: the new speakers often come with short wire leads of their own, that have connectors on the end to connect to the speakers' spade terminals. You can cut off the factory plugs and solder the new wires to the factory wires. Or you can purchase the right size terminals to fit the new speakers (.225 and .110) and crimp them directly to the factory wiring.
