You also have Revelations 21:8 that says, amongst other things, that all "unbelievers" and "idolaters" are cast into the lake of fire and brimstone.
That doesn't -exactly- link them with the devil. But they share the fate of the devil.
And I'm not a christian.

The dark side is associated with all religions and all people.
Through temptation as you have seen recently in the Catholic Church, even those who are supposed to be righteous leaders of the Church can be tempted in perversion and hurtful acts. The " Devil " in entirety has a mission to lie, cheat and steal souls from the path of righteousness and the destruction of the brotherhood of man. There will be wars and famine. All atrocities of evil acts are contributed to the influence of darkness. We are all capable of sin. More so without God. All come short of the glory of God. Those who choose darkness shall have darkness as their reward.

Well the understanding I have is that the devil/Lucifer is a fallen angel that was high up there is the religious order. Problem was is that he did not want to be like God he wanted to be God well that did not sit so well with God you know the one God thing and all so he was cast out. He also took alot of other angels with him. Any way alot of other religions and alternative religions adopted him and changed the meanings and such but he was ultimately still evil. sometimes more evil with some then others.

i think that satan is equally associated with all of us ...christian or non christian ... he is no respecter of persons or beliefs either ... he is the enemy ... his name (satan) means just that... adversary ...christians are affected by him as much as anyone else.. maybe even more ... because of our beliefs.... the only advantage we may have is that we know he exists... and we have our faith in our Father to know that he will eventually be locked away ( he cannot die he is immortal) ..i hope that answers your question.. if u were looking for some weird answer that the devil is in all jews, buddhists, moslems whatever... thats kind of a crazy idea ... the book teaches that the whole world is deceived (including chritians) ..

i don't elect to be switched over. attempting to transform somebody is against effortless human decency and the form(freedom of religion). those "reasonable" Christians have curiously found out that they might desire to comprehend or a minimum of tolerate others. Being tolerant is powerful. Love, tolerance, or hate. it somewhat is all there is. You look leaning in direction of the "hate" end of the size. i'm a liberal, Democratic, rebellious, bisexual atheist teenager. I hear to rock song(OH the HORRORS). you will possibly be able to desire to hate me plenty. you will possibly be able to desire to come to a decision directly to tension me to get down on my knees and repent for all the sin in my life. LOVE OR TOLERATE do not HATE!!! thank you and characteristic an surprising day. :)

I THINK THAT DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU DO, IT IS DIFFERENT WITH WHO IS ASSOCIATED WITH YOU.......
THEY ARE ALL HERE FOR A REASON, AND NOT ONE THE SAME.......
THE DEVIL IS OUT TO GET SOULS THAT HE THINKS ARE WORTH GETTING, SO HE'S NOT JUST GOING TO GO AFTER ONE KIND...
THATS LIKE A FARMER TRYING TO GET 30 CHICKENS BUT ONLY TAKING THE WHITE ONES..HES GONNA HAVE TO GO AFTER THE OTHERS BECAUSE EVENTUALLY HES GONNA RUN OUT OF WHITE.....
