I take it you mean why won't my compressor start when you ask for AC. This usually means the refrigerant is low and the switches that monitor pressure have cut the electrical circuit out so as not to damage the compressor. Take it to a HVAC shop to get the system leak tested and repaired or recharged. Good luck.

What do you mean reset your air conditioning compressor? It's a component, not an electrical system, that'd be like me asking how do you reset a power steering pump?

What do you mean reset?Is it not working?this old you likely need to have it recharged,Take it to a proffessional shop.
