I live in the downriver area of michigan and am 14 years old! Does anyone know of volunteer work i can do with kids??

Contact your local volunteer center. They can provide all sorts of one-time or short-term volunteer activities that match your interest and meet real community needs as well. Through my volunteer center, I tutor children at the local library, enhance visitor experience at the local museum, package food at the local food bank, and a lot of other diverse projects.

Volunteer to sit in an area at the library and read to the summer reading club participants. The librarians will be receptive to your community service and they need community involvement for program success.

Do you have a local fire dept ( volunteer ). If so, join as a junior firefighter and help the entire community.

babysitting..umm try preschools and see if ya can volunteer there..maybe a hospital to be a candy striper for children or adults maybe both etc...try gyms etc where women work out and see if they need someone to watch their children there while they are working out..etc.... good luck sweetie
