Ok my boyfriend and i were dating at the time that he was sent to jail for a parole violation (dui) and we cant see eachother cuz im under 18 and my mom HATES!!!!!!!! him and he says that i can mess around on him but we are engaged, and i dont want to and he hasnt been able to send me any letters or he hasnt wanted to so what should i do (we have been dating for 2 years and 7 months and 3 weeks)

he got in trouble for dui, and we are engaged and my mom dissaproves cuz she had my brothers with a "jail bird" and she says its not right for me to be dating him cuz he will leave me but i dont think its right for me to leave him, cuz we made promises to love eachother forever...and im confused should i wait or what?

Two questions for you, what crime did he commit and why does your mother hate him? You know, we may never see eye to eye with our parents on every issue but most parents have a keen eye when it comes to their children's dates. Talk to your mom and find out what she is seeing that you are not. It could save you a lot of trouble and pain in the long run.

you know what 2 years 7 months and 3 weeks is a long time, you love him and from what youve said he loves you. thats the most important thing. your mom hates him but you love him, surely she can see how hard it would be if you were to end things. you love him thats all that matters. is there any way you can write to him? if there is do. you dont want to mess around on him, thats proof you think hes worth it. i cant imagine what you feel like and i am sorry that you have to go through this, if you think hes right for you then wait. it will be worth it when he comes out :)

I know you don't want to hear this but your mom knows best. Your young and I know you think that you will love him forever but chances are you wont. I know you want to Waite for him but him telling you that its OK to mess around should tell you something "he don't care" if he wanted to write he would have but he has not. Cry feel sad then get on with your life. He is in jail and you are to young to worried about him and the BS he does . MOVE ON. Your all worried about your promise but he is not what more do you need.

First it looks like your BF needs to address his drinking.If he does nothing about that I can tell you it will be very difficult to be with him.By example over time will he prove himself to your mother.Even if he does get his stuff together , your mother may never accept him.the reason I say this ,is because I was in the same position your Bf was in.Good luck.

how long do he have to stay in jail .if it's not for years and you think he is worth the wait just be patient and wait until you find out wither you can wait for him to get released
