Yeah, I prayed for a sign that the guy I was with was the one for me cuz I knew I had chosen badly many times before and I decided I wanted God's opinion this time, and if he didn't give me the sign (a very specific sign I won't get into right now because I don't have all night) I was going to break up with the guy the next day. He gave me the sign and then some. Then the guy got me pregnant (and maybe that was my mistake, but God knew what would happen in the future and still gave me the thumbs up), gave me a non-curable std, abandoned me from the beginning of the pregnancy (when we found out about the std) until 3.5 weeks after our son was born. He couldn't even be bothered to be there for the birth (although I notified him 6 weeks ahead of time as to the date of the c-section which I chose to have so as not to pass the std on to my son). Yeah, he was too busy cheating on me to be there for me, or even for his son, his first-born child. Now, we're back together and I'm secretly resentful toward him. Secretly because if I'm open about it he gets all upset that I can't let it go. I can't date any other guy though cuz condoms don't protect from this disease and no guy would want me, knowing that, anyway.

So yeah, I believe God hears my prayers. He pays special attention to mine in particular because he wants to make my life a living hell. And don't say "I'll pray for you" either - the more you bring me to God's attention, the more he'll look for spots on my back that are not yet occupied by one of his knives. Maybe he likes you and that's why he helps you, but he has his favorites and I am the least of them, so I get all the misery while you get all the happiness you could ever want. Good for you. Have fun with that.

I have a few little guesses as to why these things happened. your cousin broke up with her boyfriend, NOT because god interviened but because you talked to her and other people talked to her and made her realize that he was an abusive a**. You and your friend are cool because you talked to your friend and worked out what happened in your fight , "god" had nothing to do with it. You talked and forgave eachotther for whatever happened and are now friends again. Thirdly you found a guy because you put yourself ou there and he responded, although you say in the main part that you prayed to find a guy but in the second part you say my guy is my guy, that sounds to me like you had him when you prayed maybe you should pray for things that you tourself have no control over and see if your god helps with ny of those.
have a nice day,

Amen! Courtz! Well, I hope you will always remember that He is a very present help and He hears us when we pray. We just don't always like His answers. Good good good! Have a great summer! Peace.

Yes.... Statistically even the most unlikely prapers are likely to come true some of the time.... But there isn't any difference in the likelyhood... You're acting as if those things would be impossible without help... Which makes no sense, if God changed your cousin's mind, wouldn't that mean that she didn't have free will?...

Belief precedes reality. Your faith will bring what you ask as long as it is within your highest good. Now that you see it works. Jesus said ask and you shall recieve, in my Name ask. So don't let anyone take your faith from you.

May I ask why you feel that you were more deserving of those things than mothers and fathers of children who have died? Surely, they prayed hard. Why are you more deserving than them?
Clearly, if you are right and your god decided to grant your wishes, but deny their (obviously) more serious needs, then you have some favor with your god that neither they, nor their dead children had. What do you think that is?

I think that's great that all those things happened for you, but I agree with monfille...be prepared to praise God when the answer is "NO" or "Not right now" too...Don't be easily swayed by good things...be prepared for the bad things too...

For those who does think that god hears their prayers, it's all coincidental that things that they pray for comes their way.
