I mean, does anyone else lose all faith in humanity when they see some of the questions and answers posted on this site? Especially this section. Why do people insist on answering questions when they don't know they answers to them?

I am enthralled by this site in much the same way that it is very difficult to pass by a car crash without looking. I answer questions to try and help people and to shed light on things, but when I don't know the answer, I keep my mouth shut.

This site is for small people to masturbate their egos. Nothing more.

If that's what you are looking for, that's what you will find. Look deeper and you might find humor, compassion, honest challenge and discourse.

The funny thing about R/S is that nobody knows the answer - and we are all wrestling with the question. Game on.

I think for the most part everyone does try to help. Most know a little and some know alot. some are new to there faith and want to share what they learn and I think that is great. I think it gives them a chance to grow in their faith. Yes some are off base but they tend to get the general idea right. I know I am not a biblical scholar by no means but I aklso know that I have found that I know more than I thought and I have been told I have helped even if only in a small way. After all is that not what we are all trying to do. At least lost of us anyway.

Yes it does me, but as for faith in humanity, I have lost it a while ago when I realized I shouldn't put any faith in man but keep my eyes upon Jesus, this way I don't constantly see the bad, but I can have compassion, and understanding for many.

For everything you said, I feel the same way. Last week I asked quite the same question, and many were actually encouraging but some were... how can I put it kindly? acting like *** wholes! (sorry for the language) but since some like you and me, want to ask real questions, and some also want to actually help others, I come again from time to time and it does help some. Believe it or not... Just ignore the rest (or pray for them as I do now)

This site promotes discussion based on opinions from all sides. Keep that word "opinions" clearly in your mind. Religion, spirituality, faith...whatever you call it is subjective...individual to each person. We may not always appreciate the manner in which an answer is given but all have the right to give the answer they choose...and must live with the consequences.

You stated , "why do people insist on answering questions when they don't know they (their) answers to them? And just what makes you so sure their answers are not of their knowledge. Are you the only one with a knowledgeable answer? Are you sure your answers are from your knowing, or what you believe? We all have differences in our beliefs and we answer with what we know from our beliefs. Try being a little more tolerant................This site is sometimes for small people to masturbate their egotistical judgments,

I've read your posts.....your answers are full of contempt (well, tonight anyways) ...much like this post....I mean, c'mon....if its that rough for you not to be ornery, it might be time to call it a night.

But to answer your question....yeah....because I was silly enough to try to find worthwhile advice here, only to find out the atheists treat it as a drinking game.

Wow, if it bugs you that way, friend, you may try another forum.

I am glad to be able to actually speak what I think is some truth into people's lives - if they actually read the answers to their questions.

But it is the work of God to change their hearts and minds - not mine.

No, this site has a lot of useful stuff. It also help me to see how other people think and see if i should change my way of thinking. I think that you need to open your mind up a little and accept that some people think differently to you.

Sadden? No. Horrify? Yes.

I've read some spectacularly nasty things here, as well as spectacularly stupid.

I despair of humanity sometimes. Yet, here I am!

And as for masturbating egos....ummmm.....why exactly are you here then?? Considering the condescending tone with which you posed this question, I've guessing you're stroking yourself fairly vigourously right now......

Your ego of course... ;)

I'm with you! I have been trying to "save" Christians for years now and they just don't seem to understand logic or reality. I will not give up hope.

JASON H - This site is very very censored , trust me on that one.
