One God. One in Spirit. We are all One in Spirit.

It includes the following definite ideas:

1. There are said to be three divine persons—the Father, the Son, and the holy spirit—in the Godhead.

2. Each of these separate persons is said to be eternal, none coming before or after the other in time.

3. Each is said to be almighty, with none greater or lesser than the other.

4. Each is said to be omniscient, knowing all things.

5. Each is said to be true God.

6. However, it is said that there are not three Gods but only one God.

I invite you to search the Bible, especially the 27 books of the Christian Greek Scriptures, to see for yourself if Jesus and his disciples taught a Trinity. As you search, ask yourself:

1. Can I find any scripture that mentions “Trinity”?

2. Can I find any scripture that says that God is made up of three distinct persons, Father, Son, and holy spirit, but that the three are only one God?

3. Can I find any scripture that says that the Father, Son, and holy spirit are equal in all ways, such as in eternity, power, position, and wisdom?

Search as you may, you will not find one scripture that uses the word Trinity, nor will you find any that says that Father, Son, and holy spirit are equal in all ways, such as in eternity, power, position, and wisdom. Not even a single scripture says that the Son is equal to the Father in those ways—and if there were such a scripture, it would establish not a Trinity but at most a “duality.” Nowhere does the Bible equate the holy spirit with the Father.

But those are the words and command of Jesus to baptize in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
The others are Luke's words.Luke was explaining under what authority they baptized.
God is one.One what, and three whos.
1x1x1=1 God Father ,Son and Holy Spirit.
Not 1+1+1=3 gods no not at all.
They are separate, but of the same essence. It's tough for us humans who use 10% of their brain to understand.

The relationship between God the father, the holy spirit and Jesus are debated around christian circles. I do not believe in three as the verses that support it are few and weak. As you said, it says several times that God is the one and only. Also the church added some verses a few hundred yeas ago which support the Trinity. But in the end it doesn't really matter.

The easiest explanation I have been able to come up with is this one:

A person has a body, mind and soul, three parts to the same body, they cannot be separated and still exist as one body but they are three distinct parts.

God exists as three persons (or parts) in one God. The three elements work just like our mind, body and soul but we refer to His parts as the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. It's called the Trinity and it has never been three gods. We see references to this right through the Bible and many anti Bible sites use this as 'evidence' that there is more than one God in the Bible. Genesis 3:22 is a great example of this.

It's called the Trinity. God is the father, the Son ( Jesus ) and the Holy Spirit.

the word trinity can't be found in the bible.the word Say's"Thou believest that there is ONE GOD;thou doest well;the devils believe, and tremble."James2:19.see Satan has people believing in 3gods-- (the trinity) when even he knows there is only one.you are right there is not one scripture where anyone was ever baptized in the three titles.Jesus Christ is The name of the Father,Son,Holy ghost.you see bro,the word of God and its teachings are too straight for these worldly Christians.they would rather gather unto themselves false teachers, teaching them what there itching ears want to hear.the true doctrine of Jesus is too straight for those of the world. But the true followers of The only God Jesus Christ, here His voice, believe and follow all he commands.not just what they like.may the peace of Jesus Christ be with your spirit.

Yes, It's called the Trinity... It's like you for example...Let's just say you have a job...You wear a special outfit (let's just say the Holy spirit), then you go hang out with your friends and wear another outfit (let's say Jesus), those outfits worked together to help you right? (Let's say your God). God is still God, but has the Holy Spirit and Jesus to help him...This is just my understanding.

Because there are three GODS, one is the Father, the other os teh Son, and the other is the Holy Spirit. They are 3 separate entities and 3 separate GODS.

However, we are told to worship only the Father......even Jesus said that.
