you shoudl stop the naps at about 4... any naps after the age of 4 will just cause a later time to go to bed and a later sleep time... you slowly take them away from the nap tho... cut the naps by 1/2 hour from original set nap time each day till its gone... then make sure you keep them occupied all day fro at least 1 week so they get used to stayin up all day!!! makes fro better night sleep and an early bed time!!!

My son stopped napping about a month before he turned 4. I always figured if he fell asleep he must need it and he gradually stopped over the course of a month. I have a few friends whose children stopped napping as soon as they were switched from crib to bed, though.

I think it depends on the child. Some children absolutely need naps, others really don't. I think it is generally around 4-5 (when children are getting ready to go to school). But personally I think it is a case by case basis.

most do about 3-4 but many stop earlier or later it just depends on the child and alot has to do with how active they are. Just don't worry to much and remember all children can use a quiet time with some books and stuffed animals so try just a quiet time.

I had one that I had to stop his sleeps at 2yrs4mths as so much as 5 min. he was up till 11pm. So (twins) I stopped both sleeps and made bedtime 5pm and they would sleep till 7.30 am. My daughter continued having the occasional sleep till about 7 on weekends

It depends on the child. I think up to about age 5, even if they don't sleep they should still have quiet time where they rest for about an hour.
