under 10, boys are harder.
10-14, girls are harder.
14-16, boys are harder.
16-18, girls take it.
18+, they are on their own!
its just the stages they go through at specific times

Well from my own personal experience, I can say that my son has been tough, but it's been getting easier as he's gotten older, he's now 11. I only have the 1 child, so I can't say from experience which is easier.
But my mother will tell you that my brother was a nightmare until he was 12-13 and then was a dream, and I was a dream until I was 14-15 then I became her nightmare. I think back and think how rotten I was. I never got into too much trouble, I just thought I knew everything and would talk back.
We both turned out to be good adults, atleast I think we did.
So according to my mom, boys and girls are just as hard just at different ages.

I think raising children,in general, is a challenge. Really...each child is different from the next. You just never know who you are going to get. I believe that children are born with their personalities and we are just here to keep them safe and to guide them to make good choices. Its always going to be hard. Boy or girl. Its hard raising kids. But,I love mine and would not trade the hard work for anything.

In my opinion....boys are harder to raise because they are prone to doing the wrong things and being ornery. But then I think about girls these days and they are more prone to being the brats. Its hard to decide...just depends on the type of personality they have.

Boys harder to raise when they are young but easier as teenagers. Opposite for girls.
A teenage boy will bump into a tree and say, "Woah, dude. A tree." A teenage girl will get angry and say, "Who put that tree there!" :)

I've been told that in the beginning the boys are since they are more phsyically active and less "predictable", but later on the girls become more of a worry for the parents. People make these generalizations, but we really don't know.

I'm not sure, but as a girl I would be more paranoid about raising a girl because I know their capabilities. All I know is that when my doctor told me I was having a boy I just about cartwheeled out of the doctor's office. :)

We have three young boys, but here is the general consensus that I have heard.
1. Girls are easier younger. not as much energy (meaning they do not get into as much and seem to be less likely to be climbers. Also young girls seem to be more content with sitting down with a coloring book and such. Boys, most of em, the coloring book will NOT hold thier attention for long...
2. Boys are easier older. Girls seem much more likely to rebel in more drastic ways. Girls are more likely to openly fight with thier parents. Lots of drama queen stuff... while boys can get attitudes and such, but they are generally easier going and easier to deal with. Especially for mothers...
