That's one of the main reasons that I don't follow it.

"middle eastern sexist savage men 2000 yrs ago"
I don't see how man is any different these days. This ignorant, racial comment just goes to prove my point.

Actually it was written by God fearing good men, who all their writing were totally inspired by God. And this is why I follow it.
Also because I have proof of God in my life:
Dare to check it out (my experience with God):
http://www.geocities.com/monfille/Testimony.htm
And after you read it, you tell me!
(that is if you have the courage to read it at all!)
Addition:
Just so you know, the true God fearing Christian Men I know are just wonderful husbands who actually live for their families, make the decisions with their families, and do the best to make the best decisions for all of them. They take their responsabilities quite seriously, and their word is usually reliable. They grow constantly, spiritually and emotionaly, and they learn to face their mistakes, repent from them and not do it again.
They don't lie or cheat, but love and care, that's how man is to have domination over his wife, he has to be ready to die for her. You have much to learn my friend!

Sexist ,yes in their own way.Savage? Take a trip to the middle east today.Hamas or AlQueda may slice off your head.
They were people just like we are with the same lusts ,desires , and violent nature. It all points to how we just can not do it with out God.

I am not tied in to the Bible or to any specific traditional religion. I follow God...and he leads me. Sometimes what he tells me agrees with the Bible...other times it is in disagreement with the interpretation that man has put on God's concepts.

Hey Johnny W. Some of them wrote some of it 3000 years ago. It just gets better with age. Basic human nature has not changed in all of that time.

Oh, and any other religious tome is any better. Look a the quran. it was written by a street thug turned war lord who murdered, raped, pillaged and whored around, but muslims still follow it.

Although I'm not going to disagree with you, I think it would be wiser, if your intentions are to convince people of something, not to insult them. I expected the first few responses before I even read them.

Little Johnny,
You need to check with your mother about your bedtime. I believe she is calling you. GOD inspired the writings and we are to follow them no matter how YOU feel about them. GOD certainly outranks you and me. Have a wonderful LORD's DAY. I'll see you in church.
Thanks,
Eds
