Most of the friends I have I made without God telling me. Man, you obviously assume all of us christians have to make friends with assuming they will go to God. Sometimes its God who leads you to that friend.

Hell yes! I've experienced lies and deception on the part of Jesus freaks in the 70's (cute girls hitting on college guys between finals, then trying to convert them), evangelists trying to con me into joining up and contributing to "the cause", Jehovah's Witnesses trying to disarm me with "harmless" survey questions to get into the house before laying on the conversion plan.
Those are just some examples - I've seen and heard it all!

I have many who believe differently than I do. I pray, usually, in general for all of us, but I don't discuss my prayer with others. It is a personal conversation with God.

The majority of my friends are of different beliefs than myself. I'm Catholic, but among my friends are many Jews, Wiccans, atheists, and so on. I befriended these people because of their intelligence, wit, and kindness. I'm not chaining them up and dragging them to Mass with me. There's no ulterior motive; I just happen to enjoy their company.

No, not at all.
Unless they are devote catholics. extremely devote.
I never look at my friends and think "God, make them believe in you, what they're doing will send them to hell".
Whatever you choose to do in life, do it. If you want to be christian, go ahead. if not, nobodys out to convert you.

I don't think they are any different than any other people. They make friends with friendly people...but they are also taught to love their enemies.
