Umm no. Would you ever eat a lethal dose of arsenic even if you knew someone had the antidote and they were standing right there to inject you with it?
Listen, a book by itself can not corrupt my soul. Neither can listening to atheist or satanistic ideas. But as a Christian, I am called to keep myself pure and holy. Somehow, I don't think reading such a text qualifies for those criteria. Same reason I don't watch porn, or drink alcohol.
Oh yeah, and what was it that Satan said to Eve?
Genesis 3:1-4
" 1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"
2 The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' "
4 "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. 5 "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
And guess what...Eve did die...spiritually and physically.
So the answer is NO. I would not.

No, But I've read the Egyptian Book of the Dead. I don't feel any more corrupt than usual. lol.
I've also read the Illuminati Papers, Scroll of the Annunaki (scary stuff there), and writings from the plates of the Blue Dawn.

I did once - even had my own copy about 30 years ago.
It filled me with fear instead of love and peace. I threw it away a few months later and as i did, tearing it up, the fear was greatest.
Reading the book put some ideas and messages into my mind that I had to later conciously reject. The effort was me reading the book. The corruption was the result of planting bad messages into my heart and mind.
I would liken the experience to eating a very bad meal that gave me emotional and spiritual indigestion for several years.

I've read through parts of the Satanic Bible; I used to be in the used book business and there were always people looking for it. It's incredibly sophomoric and shouldn't be read by anybody on the simple grounds that life is short and there are better things to do with one's time. The fact that one is Christian shouldn't mean that one lives in mortal fear of corruption by reading, listening to, or watching media that are allegedly "un-Christian"; neither does it oblige one to investigate everything to show how open-minded one is.

I use to hide them at book stores so people were not influenced by that garbage. I don't even need to bother reading something like that even for a laugh.
By the tree you will know the fruit. Anything associated with Satan has no value to me. But some people need a laugh from Horror films too.

It is disobeying Jesus that I don't want to do. If Jesus told me to, then I would. But only then. As it is, the Bible tells me to not eat at the same table with Baalzebub. And the Holy Spirit says the same thing in my spiritman.
Josh, I suggest you don't read it, unless you really ask Jesus if it is OK. Richard of Fort Bend had a bad experience & I wouldn't want you to go through a similar experience. But then, you might not be born of God Yet

If it's not well written, why would I want to read it? There's plenty of other books out there that are. A book can't corrupt your soul.

I saw it and read some of it. I think see some of where LeVey was coming from and why he wrote it. But I don't plan on sitting around and studying it. Nor do I consider it to be something of value beyond one man's opinion.

Probably not...but not because I would be afraid of being corrupted. It is always wise to know your enemy. I however do not waste my time with such things. That would be even more worthless than spending time here....and sometimes I even wonder about this.
