Then i suggest you get the $230.
Plus, who attacked your cat?
If an owner with a dog did, you could make them pay for the vet bill.

There have been some great suggestions about hot water bottles and I would also suggest a wheat bag, though the only ones I have had are made with lavender which I guess will be unpleasant as a smell for Baby. Get some cheap soft blankets for her to nest in (like the fleece blankets you can get from Ikea super-cheap) or make her a suitbale resting place if she shows no interest in nestling into them. You may also like to try a space heater to maintain a warm room temperature, and a dropper to get water into her, or wet food (mashed, or with water added, or both) or chicken boiled down into a broth (to provide nutrition and water in an attractive meal) She would do well to be soothed, just sit with her and speak quietly or just have her on your lap. I think the company will do her mental state a bit of good and help her recover physically. Maybe even some company from Kale would help her and comfort her. He's a companion and saved her life. Your dog is a hero, it's lovely to see that he rescued her. Some dogs may have turned on a family cat once injured. I don't think offence was meant when it was suggested to keep her in. Unfortunately this incident shows why its so hard to let a cat out. Kale probably saved her life but it wouldn't always be the case. Also, after her trauma she may prefer the indoors. Good luck and I hope she recovers well.

If your cat is having a hard time breathing and has been wounded around the lungs grab a plastic bag and seal up the wound, because if the lung is punchured this will keep blood from going into it so your cat does not drown.
If you know of anyone that works in the medical field call them maybe they can give you further advice or maybe they know the vet.
I know how difficult finances can be and you care about your cat. Who did you talk to about how much it would cost to take your cat in?? If it was someone at the vets office call again and tell them you are bringing your cat in. Have the cat taken care of and then make payment arrangements on the bill. Someone said something about a credit card, try that. If you know of the person who has the animal that attacked your cat, you can take them to court to pay for the vet bill and for the court cost.
I'm sorry that you and your cat are going through this. Good Luck.

Take your cat to the emergency vet's and have him taken care of. If he is badly injured they may have to put him to sleep. Once he is taken care of you can then talk to the vet about taking payments for the work done.

Who or what attacked your cat, if it is another pet belonging to someone else, they could be responsible for the vet bills.
You need to call the police and make a report, if you cat was attacked by an animal(wild) or a neighbors pet.

Best of luck.

One of the responsibilities of a pet owner is being able to pay for medical care for the pet or pets.

ignore the remark about can not afford the vet bill, not every pet owner adds in the thought of their pet getting attacked. if you do live in an area like myself that there is not a vet hospital for at least an hour or so away that is open 24 /7 then deppending what is wrong with your cat. Try using Peroxide in the wounds, along with some antibiatic ointment and gause pads and change them at least every hour to two hours and rinse the wound out with warm water if you can to clean the area. also try breaking up some Pain meds if you have any just do a 1/4 every 4 - 6 hours to ease the pain.

Please take your cat to the emergency vet RIGHT NOW! I don't know a single vet in the entire country who wouldn't help your cat right away and worry about the money later. Make payment arrangements after the cat is ok. If you have to, offer to work for the vet to pay off the bills. Please, please go now. It's not right to let the poor cat suffer without treatment

Care credit is a credit card for veterinary bills, dental, plastic surgery - for bills over $300 they offer interest free plans. Apply online then bring your cat to the vet!!

If your cat is dying then you need to suck it up and pay the money somehow. Borrow it, see if you can make payments anything. Or have someone put the cat out of its misery. This is very unfair to the animal. Whoever attacked your cat is responsible for the money. Find them and make them pay.

you have no choice - get the cat to the vet - ask about care credit. borrow the money. if the cat is that seriously injured have them put it down & not do any exam or tests. that should save some money
