Yeah, I e-mailed a girl this once too. She told me that lots of stuff in the Bible really happened. I said, all that proves is that the Hebrews wrote down their history not that there's a god. I then mentioned that there is alot of evidence for the Trojan war but that doesn't mean that Zeus and Posidon exist either.

Well first of all, the troy which was discovered was infinitismally smaller than the one described by Homer.
I mean, just because the pyramids are real, and refer to Ra and Horus et al, that doesn't mean that they're real, no more than the vatican proves that the Christian god is real.
Mount olympus is still there, that doesn't prove anything. then again...
Your question is very disingenuous. The Bible and the Illiad aren't comparable. The illiad is a work of fiction, and was never held out to be anything else.
Jesus, whether you believe he was the son of god or not existed, as the pontius pilot, and st peter and the rest of the disciples. They all existed, whether or not they were holy, and their existence is a matter of historical record, verified by the romans and jews.
The Illiad was alway held out to be a collection of ancient mythology.

opposite to everyday perception you are able to disprove the existence of a nonexistent being while that is definition is contradicted with the aid of the relevent information of the reality that it would not concur with with the aid of omission of effect or result you are able to nevertheless end the source did not function because it replaced into deemed that is going to . while the belief of a god would not demonstrate that is envisioned outcomes that is going to be assumed it particularly is broken or non existent . this information or disproof thus has been utilized with the aid of mainstay Atheists and revealed as information or disproof interior of logical and sensible parameters for a while now.with the aid of fact the definition of gods is they don't wreck then that is going to be theory they don't exist . proofs take continuously yet disproofs basically require one occasion .as Einstein stated: No volume of experimentation can ever tutor me precise; a single test can tutor me incorrect. Why not? After all there are many people who probably worship Zeus or at least include him in their pantheon. How does anyone know that he doesn't exist?

Darn tootin' it does! :-)
Actually, to be serious for a second (it's an effort, I'm tellin' you) archealogy hit some really serious snags before they STOPPED trying to make things fit Biblical chronology---from Abraham to Moses to Solomon, it just wasn't adding up.

Great example of the use of the 'straw man fallacy.'
We learned about this in high school debate. Your logic fails.
But it is interesting from an academic angle.

No, archaeology provides evidence to support scripture, it's not proof. I don't know of any Christian that would say what you stated.
